Other PodCast book review:
Podcasting: The Do It Yourself Guide by Todd Cochrane answers the questions regarding what
PodCasting is and why it exists. And his main message is; Have fun!
Internet Radio err PodCasting has been around awhile, but PodCasting per se, has really been
popularized within the last 6 months (this is 2005) or so. VODCasting is just beginning and if
you use iTunes and click on the Podcasting Directory and do a search on TV, a few VodCasting
sites will appear. Todd doesn't go there, but we did in our Blog. Now back to the book;
Todd Cochrane is a veteran PodCaster with his Geek News Central PodCast. What he does
with this book is show what PodCasting is, how to participate and the devilish little details and
equipment needed to rival the moneyed media systems. So far, the PodCasting networks are not
regulated, so just about anything goes. Even Apple finally has begun to add Explicit to a few
PodCast streams and lots of banned verbiage is the norm on a lot of Shows . iTunes isn't the
only way to access these and I gave a few links in the July issue of macCompanion in the Letter
from the CEO titled, PodCasting Marvels . That was before I got this book.
