Scrapbooking. Why do it? We collect things. We take pictures. We cherish memories. We write
down experiences, hoping someday they will be remembered and maybe make a difference in
our family's lives. Enough experiences eventually become grist for books and biographies,
memoirs and movies. iRemember expedites that process by being an electronic tool. Remember
the past, or you will be forced to repeat it.
You don't have to start from scratch. iRemember comes with 4, 546 scrapbook searchable items
in 12 categories and is why it requires 2GB of hard drive space to use. What I found intriguing
is that there are a few Quotes, Poems and Scriptures as well as Backgrounds, Borders, Corners,
Headers, Patterns and templates in different sizes (6x6, 8.5x8.5, 8.5x11, or 12x12 inches).
Now all those digital photos can be captured, organized and printed or presented to others online
(as PDFed files or as filesharing with others who use iRemember).
There are a few tools designed to help with graphics, text, cropping or dropping photos into
predefined shapes or mattes, rubberstamping clipart backgrounds, add lines or zoom around if
space is small on the screen.
Image file formats interactions are with PDF, TIFF, JPEG and iPhoto. Text formats accepted
are RTF, MS Word, ASCII Text or TextEdit.
