iTaskX 2 has a little bit of competition from FastTrack 8 Schedule and LeadingProject, but I
think it can hold its own against them both. It has just been getting better with each release. For
anyone using the Mac for managing projects, this application is designed from the ground up to
work with Mac OS X. The Help function really is helpful. There are 3 areas to choose from:
Help, Dialogues and Sheets and Hints. Start with Help first.
What really sets this app apart from the others is that it is Macishly intuitive. More importantly,
it has an iTaskX Guide that steps through 9 project management steps with each having a
definition so no one can feel they don't understand what is required; Define the project and
general working times, organize the tasks into phases and schedule tasks, add more task
information and columns of additional information, constrain tasks and add documents that can
be embedded. Task relationships can easily be broken or linked, indented or outdented ,
resources can be easily reassigned and it takes no time at all to go to a task, edit an item or notes,
work with the simplified formatting or add simple drawings.
